The pendant weight-sensor (DP) is designed to automate weighing operations at loading/unloding by lifting magnets at ferrous metallurgy plants and scrap yards. The use of DP along with the DPN-125 voltage transducer allows to optimize loading/unloading and locate bottlenecks. The obtained data on loading (i.e. weights of loads in a single cycle of lifting, transferring and lowering) and unloading (the total of loading cycles per a single cargo vehicle) allows to keep to keep track as well as to check the factual volume of loading/unloading per a single hoisting machine (crane, forklift, excavator, etc.) against the declared volume. The DP is installed between a crane's hook the chain sling of the lifting magnet. The DP's power supply cable is attached in parallel with the magnet's power terminals. The data transfer from the DP to the operator's control unit is carried via interference-tolerant radio-channel. The DP's casing reliably protects the measuring unit from any kind of mechanical damage. DP's features:
